Uggggh, before I ask what I need to, I'm just going to go ahead and make a HUGE complaint about comic purists. Who made them king of the superhero universe, anyway?? Someone assumed I'm quote "one of those Dark Knight fans who doesn't know shit about the ACTUAL characters", and that really pissed me off. I've been a fan of Batman since I was in fucking DIAPERS, so do NOT tell me I'm a "new fan" or that I'm not a "TRUE fan". T_____T Seriously, wtf?? Granted, Heath's Joker IS my favorite interpretation, and I never actually DID read an entire comic, but I DID watch the cartoon every day, and those are pretty close to the comics, from what I've discerned. They don't take creative liberties like they do with the movies, so they're pretty much the same. So yeah, I DO know about the characters and their quirks, so fuck you, purists!! Seriously, they strut around acting like they're the ULTIMATE fans just because they've read a paper book. BFD. Nobody really READS comics anymore, so do they honestly expect EVERYONE to be familiar with the comics??? Comic books were never available to me as a kid, although I DO own quite a few Spider-man comics since we bought them for a penny each at an antique store. No Batman there, unfortunately. So yeah...have any of you come across people like this? Cuz it seems they're lurking in the darkest corners of EVERY street (I'm being metaphorical, here xP), and although some DK fans DO annoy me with their ridiculous interpretations (Heath's Joker needing a Harley Quinn, for instance...that DOES annoy me. Something tells me they didn't even KNOW Harley before the Heath!Joker craze), but I'm still respectful enough to know that they ARE still fans of Batman. You don't need to be a fucking comic book enthusiast to be a TRUE fan, because most comic book fans are in their 40's and up!

Anywhos, the TRUE reason for writing is this: do any of you own a tablet for your art work?? I really, really, REALLY want one for Christmas, but I have NO idea what kind to get. I mean, I don't really even know how they work, so that would help. xP You can draw and color on them, right? So you essentially don't need a scanner anymore (oh, happy day! lol)... But anywhos, what kind do you guys have, and/or what do you recommend??? Thanks! <3
