Belle x Red Riding Hood: Beauty + the Beast

I saw this prompt on the OUAT Kink Meme and went, "Whoa...that's kinda cool." As in, the prompt was "the beast to her beauty." I'd never really thought about it before, but Red IS the most beastly character on the show. I love Rumple and all, but he is NOT a true beast. Gold skin, wonky eyes, disgusting teeth, and absurdly long nails don't make you a hideous monster. Just ask the fangirls. After all, I don't think anyone's panting over Red in her wolf form, so that'd make the task of falling in love that much more difficult. Rumple's extremely easy to love, sooo no contest.

I remember Skin Deep's promo said, "A beauty...a beast...the legendary love story with a twist." If Red had been the Beast, that really would've been a twist...one that probably would've made all the hardcore BatB fans have a heart attack. I'm as hardcore of a BatB fan as they get, but since I'm pretty accepting of almost every couple on the show, I figured I'd give this one a try. I checked, and I'm the first to draw Red Beauty. Yay!

If you're viewing this and are unfamiliar with Once Upon a Time, I'll give ya a brief run down. In this show's telling of the fairy tale, Red is actually the wolf, so that's why in the bottom portion of the picture Belle's petting one. I know she's a LOT smaller than the wolf on OUAT, but I didn't feel like drawing a hulking creature. I'm lazy when it comes to coloring animals. And for those of you who don't know, Red isn't always a wolf, so that's why the top portion is of her in her human form with Belle. I suppose true love's kiss could break the curse.
